Frequently asked questions about the ICU CLOM SolarCell

1. How does the ICUCLOM SolarCell work?
   The solar cell charges inserted lithium-ion batteries (type 18650), which are then used as
   buffer for connected consumers (e.g. wildlife camera). Devices with 6 V
   (up to 3 A) or 12 V (up to 1.5 A) can be connected.
   
2. What is included in the scope of delivery?
   • ICUCLOM SolarPanel
   • Mounting bracket
   • Tree belt
   • Charger
   • 2 cables:
     o DC5521/DC5521 (1 m)
     o DC5521/DC4017 (1 m)
     
3. How do I charge the batteries for the first time?
   • Open the battery compartment on the back.
   • Insert three identical 18650 Li-Ion batteries with protection circuit.
   • Charge the batteries with the enclosed mains adapter in the interior.
   • LEDs indicate the charge status:
     o Flashing white = charging process
     o Green = battery status (1-4 LEDs)
     
4. What do the LED indicators mean?
   
   > White LEDs (charging current):
   - 1 LED: 30-50 mA
   - 2 LEDs: 50-120 mA
   - 3 LEDs: 121-200 mA
   - 4 LEDs: 200-289 mA
   
   > Green LEDs (charging status):
   - 1 LED: <30 %
   - 2 LEDs: <50 %
   - 3 LEDs: <80 %
   - 4 LEDs: 100 %
   - 2 flashes = <5 %
   
   
5. What protective functions does the device have?
   • Overcharge protection

6. What needs to be considered for outdoor installation?
   - Seal all unused connections (rubber cover!).
   - Connecting cables must have sealing rings (splash water protection IP54).
   - The voltage of the consumer must match the panel output (6 V or 12 V).

8. How do I connect several panels?
   Several ICUCLOM SolarCells can be connected in parallel via the 18 V connections on the underside.

9. How do I dispose of batteries and devices correctly?
   - Batteries: Return to municipal collection centres or dealers.
   - Devices: Recycling via appropriate collection centres (e.g. ear-verzeichnis) or send directly to ICUserver GmbH.
