If no QR code appears in the app wizard, this is often because the camera cannot establish a connection to the server. The cause is usually not the app, but the camera or its configuration. Go through the following steps to resolve the problem:
1. check camera settings (setup mode on the device)
- Switch the camera to the SETUP mode.
- Pay attention to whether a network symbol at the top right (antenna with bar) appears.
- If the symbol is missing, the camera has No connection to the mobile network. The QR code can therefore be cannot be generated.
2. insert and activate the SIM card correctly
- Make sure that the SIM card inserted correctly is.
- The SIM card must active and activated be.
3. check reception
- Test the camera in a location with good mobile phone reception.
- A Weak reception can prevent the server connection and thus block the QR code generation process.
4. reset and reconfigure the camera
- If necessary, set the camera to Factory settings back.
5. check firmware update
- Make sure that the camera has the Current firmware version has.
- Communication problems may occur with outdated firmware.
Camera works locally, but no QR code?
- If the camera works locally (e.g. photos on SD card) but no QR code appears: Connection to the icu server is faulty - see also: Why doesn't my camera send pictures or connect?
Tip: As soon as the camera is connected correctly, the QR code appears automatically. If a QR code is still not visible, contact icu support.
